I make wire wrapped jewelry. It's not particularly fancy. Some who do wire wrap really get into it, with lots scrolling, loops and so on. The stone merely becomes something to display their wire wrap on. To us, and a lot of others who have purchased pendants from us, the stone (cab), is the "painting" and the wire is merely the "frame". No one buys the painting so they can get the frame (I don't think). Each stone has it's own properties; some to make you feel better, some to help you bring out your psychic abilities, while still others are said to help you contact off world beings, etc. We have stones that that come from all over the world (sorry, none from Brooklyn, tho. Most tend to be governed by where they come from. We glean our "knowledge" from the books "Love Is In The Earth", by MELODY probably the foremost authority on the subject. Terrific lady, and a friend.
Someone will always ask "Do you go get the stones yourself?" We would like to be able to say "Yes", but we can't. Outside of rock and mineral dealers we know and can call, we try (!), to either the Tucson or Denver shows, or if we are in luck, both. Turning me loose in one of them is like being a kid in a candy store. That's why Betty lets me have any money when we do go. I think that that would be grounds for divorce!!
At any given time we may have any where from 30 to 50 different stones, both wrapped and unwrapped. We could not possibly list them all or show photos of them. The photos shown on these pages are examples of my style of work and some of the cabs that I work with. If you would be interested in purchasing one or more of the pendants, simply give us a call;
if we have any thing close to what you are interested in, we'll e-mail photos and let you decide. By all this, I mean that if you want an amethyst, or a rose Quartz, or perhaps a turquoise stone wrapped, we'll send you a Photo(s), of what we have, and or a pendant that is already made. The wire is either gold filled (not plated!), or silver. No difference in price to you. Other times, if I don't have it, I can get a cab(S), from a friend or one of our suppliers. E-mail is fine, but beyond seeing the product, we prefer doing business over the phone. That way, if some explanation if involved, it does Not get lost in the shuffle. Another point to make; almost all the cabs that I use are called "freeform", so that no two stones are exactly alike.
